Hi all,

I use my lamp all the time in our colder, darker months, but only intermittently during the summer.

I started wondering about using Sta-bil in the kerosene to help keep it from turning to varnish. Anybody know if there's a down side to doing this?

Reason is, I use Sta-bil in my tractor's gas all the time - that way if we get a stretch of really hot weather and I'm not running it, the gas stays good. Likewise in the fall: I never know when the "last mow of the season" will be happening.

Thanks in advance...

Hi,

Sorry no one gave you any info on this, we have not had any problems with the lanterns with any fuel additives, but make sure the fuel still will not break down for sure, most still do.
