Did you know that britelyt includes a lifetime carrying case with every stove? They sure do!
It cost me half of a roll of Gorilla Tape, but my Petromax Carrying Case is a thing of beauty indeed – if you define beauty as low cost and ruggedness. First I ran the tape on both sides of the moving “flaps” (seams) from the box. Then proceeded to do the box edges (corners), then covered the ENTIRE box – inside and out. From past experience doing a similar operation the box will last virtually forever – it can even take a bit of rain but not overnight in a storm. Gorilla tape is way better than common “duct tape” – and even with the thicker tape the stove and frame slide in neatly. I have the EZ pump adapter and with that mounted it still slides in the box. I keep my super flate in the box with some co2 gas bottles and the original pump (in a ziplock) all happily in same box. I piece of Gorilla Tape seals the flaps down making for a nice neat and certainly distinctively practical carrying/storage box. Even if the britelyt gang offered a special stove case – I doubt if I would abandon my reinforced box. The box had a few dings from shipping but it’s now impossible to find them as there is not a single bit of cardboard visible anywhere. To make it a true "carrying case" I added 2 lengths of rawhide "shoelace" material to form a pair of handles. Just make 2 loops, Gorilla tape to bottom,, about an inch from the edge. Holding the box with the shoelaces (only) secured to bottom - note the natural angle of the shoelace (each going about a third of the way toward center/top of the box) - then just put a strip of tape on the sides of the box - holding it in place. You need to angle the handles so they wont pull free from the gorilla tape - tape them where they "want to be". I called and asked if britelyt sold a stove carrying case and was told “not yet” – what they forgot to mention is that they give them away free !! This message has been edited.
